If you’ve not come across Canva before, it is a graphic design platform that is growing in popularity. Canva offers a gentler way into graphic design than other software tools like Adobe Illustrator - which has a steeper learning curve. Canva’s primary audience is time-short marketers who want to produce professional-looking assets fast.
With its latest AI integration, Magic Studio, Canva aims to get you producing perfect digital assets pronto. You give the tool a prompt of what you want Canva to design (like you would with Chat-GPT), and Canva will produce your assets right there.
What you get out is only as good as what you put in. This means you need to make sure the prompt is super descriptive. For example, the prompt “Create a presentation” will produce generic slides. If you include more detail: “Create a presentation that uses our brand colours (A, B, C) and includes office-based imagery”, you will get a better output.
We’ve found that many of the designs suggested still need refining to be on-brand, but it certainly helps to reduce the time taken to create a design from start to finish.
The best way to learn is to experiment yourself - here’s a link to their sign-up page.
