Seeing that one of your page listings on Google has been cut off mid-sentence isn’t a good look. How can you fix it?
A big misconception with Google is that it uses character counts for meta tags, when in reality, they count pixels. Therefore, you could actually be within the suggested character count when you make up your title page. But still not see your full title and meta description.
The Google SERP Tool will tell you how many pixels your meta tags contain and if they will get cut off by Google. It also shows you a preview of what your web pages will look like too. It’s a handy and free tool that’s a great addition to any bookmark bar, and one we like to use at Mission Drive. Plus it’ll save you time and effort in the long run too.
